Sharks Falling from the Sky
I just saw this amazing article online about folks who rescued a leopard shark that fell from the sky. Sounds like a 'too weird to be true story' that should be investigated on Snopes.com but I trust the source and find it to be a sweet story.
Apparently a large bird grabbed the 2 foot long shark from the ocean and was carrying it off when, just 5 miles from the shore, it dropped the little guy onto a golf course near the 12th tee. Luckily a course marshal saw it flopping around and decided to rescue it. With the help of other staff, they got it into some salty water and then drove to the shore near Dana Point to release it. It took a minute to revive and then flopped and swam off. I hope it was okay.
Nature is weird, wonderful, funny, sweet, and can teach lots of lessons if we just listen.
