Nature Notes: Large Ungulates in Front Yard

Just got home from a great holiday party. The drive was long and arduous due to the blizzard we were driving through. When we pulled into our driveway I noticed a path through our front yard. It looked like human tracks which makes no sense - we are out in the middle of nowhere. I got a closer look and they appear to be tracks of a large deer, elk or moose. It was late and I was tired so I didn't look too closely. But I am inclined to think they were a moose. We've had them in the area before and the tracks led right to the apple trees. The tracks were also very far apart and were walking not trotting or running. It would be awesome to see a moose in person in the yard but I'll settle for tracks. Nature Rocks!
